Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives. – William A. Foster

What is Quality Assurance?

Quality assurance can be defined as “Part of quality management focused on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled”. It is a process of managing the quality of the product/project. The trust given by Quality assurance has a double benefit since it provides the assurance to the stakeholders within the organization as well as the outside world. Quality Assurance focuses on how the process is performed.

What is Quality Control?

Quality Control can be defined as “the operational techniques and activities, part of quality management, that are focused on fulfilling quality requirements.” Quality control is more focused on the verification aspect of quality management. It will verify the correctness and quality of the product.
