Requirements can be described as the “what” of a project. They define the functionalities, features, and qualities that a product or service should possess. Think of them as a wish list that outlines exactly what you want your project to accomplish. These requirements act as a blueprint, guiding the project team in creating a solution that meets the client’s needs. From specifying user experience to technical specifications, requirements cover various aspects of a project, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.

Requirements are like the ingredients of a recipe; without them, the end result may not be what you desire. They serve as the foundation for the entire project, providing clarity and direction to the team. By understanding and documenting requirements, project managers can effectively communicate with stakeholders, developers can accurately build the product, and testers can ensure that everything functions as intended. Requirements play a crucial role in minimizing misunderstandings, reducing risks, and maximizing the chances of project success.
